TCWinCE Features

Timber Cruise for Palm or Pocket Sized PCs using Windows CE(TCWinCE), allows you to collect TCruise data with a Palm or Pocket sized Windows CE powered PC. The program uses a grid control for data input. Thus, the cruise data input interface for TCruise, and TCWinCE are essentially identical to minimze the data recording errors caused by the field recorder, and cruise program having radically different interfaces.

The major features of TCWinCE are

• Plot, point, or double point sample designs
• Separate reproduction, sub-merchantable, pulpwood, and sawtimber plot/BAF factors
• Timber tresspass (stump) cruise
• Comprehensive data error checker
• Ability to merchandise tree logs by grade, and product
• User definable species codes/names, species groups names, product codes/names, and grade codes/names
• Spread sheet data input format Dot tally input by dbh, and numbers of logs, and half logs
• Administrator username/password protection of codes and parameters to prevent unauthorized changes
• Imports ascii files of cruse parameters (codes, and specifications) from TCruise as cruise templates
• Downloads cruise data as an ascii text file for importation into TCruise or for exportation to another program
• Species, product, and grade codes can be edited in the field
• Cruise parameters and descriptive information can be edited in the field
• Required sample sizes can be computed in the field
• VBAR based volume report can be generated in the field. The final volume estimate must be refined in TCruise
• Supports on both the PC, and PDA , the creation of cruise templates that can be used as a basis future cruises

TWinCE downloads ascii formatted cruise data that can be imported directly into TCruise, or with some modification imported into other cruise programs. TCruise will not allow the importation of files created by TCWinCE, unless TCWinCE is registered.
