TCruise DP Features

Cruise data can be input from tally sheets using TCruise's built-in spread sheet interface, or down loaded from a data recorder. The companion product Timber Cruise for the Haglof Digitech Professional Computer Caliper (TCruise DP), downloads ascii formatted cruise data that can be imported directly into TCruise, or another cruise program. TCaliper can store up to four cruises before a download is necessary.

TCruise DP's data input screens are organized the same as TCruise's internal spreadsheet data editor interface to make data entry and downloading a snap. Species codes, and product codes are downloadable to TCruise DP from TCruise's species, and product code export facility so no code translations are required.

The Haglof Digitech Professional Computer Caliper is a very efficient way of collecting data because it combines the primary measuring instrument with the data recorder. When used in conjunction with a Haglof DME for distance measurement, one person can cruise a tract more efficiently than a two person crew. TCruise will not allow the importation of files created by TCruise DP, unless TCruise DP is registered.

The major features of TCruise DP are

• Plot, point, or double point sample designs
• Separate reproduction, sub-merchantable, pulpwood, and sawtimber plot/BAF factors
• Timber tresspass (stump) cruise
• Ability to merchandise tree logs by grade, and product
• Imports ascii files of cruse parameters (codes, and specifications) from TCruise as cruise templates
• Downloads cruise data as an ascii text file for importation into TCruise or for exportation to another program.
