Timber Inventory Measuring System
TIMS DP is a multi-use, out-of-the box timber inventory data collection system. Use it to collect standing forest inventory data, scale logs, or measure piles of timber in a wood yard. Connect GPS positions to other registered data and get a full overview of assets, in the forest or at the lumberyard. TIMS DP is an excellent choice for operators performing a variety of timber measuring work. Multiple files (lists) with information on stand, GPS location of piles and logs, identified by list name, district, date, forest department, forest name, section, stand, wood class and more can all be stored. More than 20 000 unique trees or logs and up to 5000 piles can be stored in the Digitech Professional with TIMS DP. Files can be exported as XML, tab delimited text files and even KML for display in Google Earth or other GIS programs.
LogScale DP is especially designed for the patented Digitech Professional Computer Caliper. The software allows you to quickly scale and compute volumes of log loads. LogScale can handle both whole tree and short log loads.
Timber Cruise (TCruise) is the heart of Heuristic Solutions Timber Cruising System product line. The program accepts data from plot, point, double point, or segmented strip cruises of stratified, or non-stratified tracts, and prepares reports by product showng volumes, sampling errors, and the sample sizes required to adchieve stated levels of precision. Volume reports by product and dbh class are optionally available. Reports showing total, and per acre timber tract dollar values by product can be printed if the user inputs current stumpage prices.
The process is simple, collect stem profile data by measuring individual trees from butt to tip or vice versa using the Haglof Digitech Professional. Next, import the data into TProfile and build the local profile function. Lastly, import the profile function into TCruise and you are ready to begin using YOUR local profile functions specific to your region!
